What you know now will save you time, energy, and money...later.
It's a simple PHACT (Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning Tip) that the products you see in the big box stores are not made the same way as the products the Mom and Pop shops carry. But wait...isn't bigger, cheaper? Let's tackle that question. Once we do, we think you'll love the PHACT that you have Mom and Pop shops in your corner, and in your neighborhood. Myth: Bigger is cheaper. PHACT: Bigger may have a cheaper price-tag up front. But paying more for it in the long run doesn't help you. Consider the fact that it's made with cheaper parts on the inside. The next time you look at a faucet, think about how many moving parts it takes to make up a faucet. Think about all of the parts you can't see...not just the shiny finish you can see. Think about how long you want the faucet to last. Think about what you will do a few months down the road when it doesn't work as well anymore. Think about the phone number you will have to call to get an answer to your question. Think about being placed on hold, passed around the store, and ending up talking to the same person you started with...only to find out no one really knows the answer to your question. Now...think about how things work with a Mom and Pop shop. The products we carry don't just look good on the outside. The internal moving parts aren't plastic, they are made up of products that will stand the test of time. If you ever have a question, you can talk to the owner if you'd like. Think about the fact that they want you happy from day one. Think about how you see them at ballgames, community events, school concerts, and summer festivals. Think about the smile, the handshake, and a guarantee based on a relationship, rather than a transaction. So, how'd we do? Still think bigger is cheaper? And as much as we are talking about our trade...it's the same thing with every other local Mom and Pop business, with the products and services that they offer. Mechanics, Electricians, Restaurants, and the list goes on and on. The promises found in the relationships within your community stand the test of time. That's a PHACT you can count on!

I want the internal parts of my faucet to last a long time. That way I don't have to worry about my faucet breaking randomly on me. But it all depends on what parts I can find.
