Do you have a boat?
Are you excited about being able to use it again, soon? We don't blame ya! But...we are pretty sure that you aren't planning on using it in your basement.
Why in the world are we talking about boats in basements?
We wanted to send out a funny little reminder to keep valuables on higher ground if you can, and check in on your basement for water. Spring rains can be challenging. Keep an eye out, and valuables up, because your boats aren't meant for basements! :)
We're going out on a limb...
Spring is here!
If old man winter wants to spit and sputter a few flakes in the air, or a brisk breeze, we know it won't last. Warmer temperatures, birds singing, and flowers beginning to bloom are the new normal.
Finally, right? :)
A new season brings new excitement, and also new challenges. Cleaning up from the winter seems like more of an outdoor expedition than anything. Yard work, painting, planting gardens, etc... are all part of the plan.
But what about the inside of your home?
Maybe you've been thinking about doing a kitchen or bath remodel. Even if you aren't doing an entire re-build a new faucet, sink, kitchen counter, toilet, or shower is in the mix for spring 2019. If you are finding that conversation becoming a regular one in your home, we'd love to help you in any way we can.
We are pretty sure you know we do the whole plumbing thing.
But...did you know that we design kitchen and bath remodels as well?
Here is the easy way to remember it...
If water flows through it, into it, or around it...we can provide the products and services for it!
We are sure you have some spring projects, cleaning and the like on the mind, so we'll let you get back to them. If you need us, we are here for you. Ok...maybe not the spring cleaning part. :)
Let's welcome back our old friend once again.
-Your friends at Gugino Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning!
Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. Yeah...it's what we do.
We thought we'd dig deep into what that could really mean for all of us.
A vessel that water can flow through. Sounds a lot like an open mind and a caring heart. Imagine a world full of people who were that type of open vessel.
Providing warmth when the surroundings are harsh. There's that heart again. Bringing joy to a world that needs it so very much.
A welcome relief when the temperature of life goes up. A calm and collected approach that allows a tough moment to be balanced and comfortable again.
As much as our team hits the road each day to help you with your literal plumbing, heating, & air conditioning needs...today seemed like a really good day to remind all of us how we can do the same as we care for one another as people...as neighbors.
Wherever your travels take you today, you are on our mind. Why? Those of you we know already it's an honor to call your friends. Those we haven't met? We're excited at the thought that one day we will.
Have a fantastic start to your week!
-The Gugino Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning Family.
Controlling your home's humidity is the key to your comfort. You want to be able to regulate it, so that it's lower in the summer and higher in the winter. A Trane Air Conditioner takes out the humidity in the summertime. It cools the air and removes moisture and humidity in the air, so that you are super-comfy cool! In the winter you will benefit from a Trane humidifier to add moisture to the air so that you reduce dry skin and the ever annoying static electricity.
If this sounds like paradise, which we think it will, give us a call at 716-679-0080. We'd love to give you a FREE in home quote!
The chill in the air you wish would disappear today, would feel like a welcome relief if this were summer, wouldn't it?
Before you know it, we will all be wishing we could bottle the chilly air and unleash it on ourselves on those hot summer days and nights.
We know a thing or two about how to make your home more comfortable when the weather does change. Believe it or not, this really is the best time to start the planning for it. If you think that you might be interested in adding central air/air conditioning to your home or business, the best way to start is a simple conversation ahead of time.
Our team provides a FREE in home/business consultation to talk through your needs, and help make recommendations and provide a quote for you. Once spring hits full stride the best way to be ready is to already be on our calendar for a visit so you are ready for summer.

1. Seal up any areas where air blows through into a crawl space, because pipes can freeze when the cold air has access to your pipes.
2. Open cabinet doors under faucets. The warmer air will help keep the pipes from freezing.
3. Check your heat tape. Make sure it is functioning properly.
4. Clear the areas around all appliance vents from snow and ice. Be sure to check them regularly based on snow removal, drifting, shoveling, plowing, etc... in those areas.
5. Open your faucet(s) so it is dripping. We do this because moving water is far less likely to freeze in your pipes.
Be a great neighbor.
Be one that checks in.
Be one that anticipates the need.
Be one who asks someone how their day has gone...and truly listens.
When neighborhoods are filled with that level of care, a community is transformed from a bunch of places where people live to a true community where we all serve one another.
It's in serving one another that relationships are formed, trust is developed, and a community can thrive. It's been an honor to try to be that for your family since 1973.
Creating comfort is our greatest joy! Be it in installing a furnace, repairing one, working on plumbing, or air conditioning...we don't take this wonderful opportunity to serve your family for granted. Thank you!
